Nomad Design is one of Australia's leading fishing tackle brands, designing innovative products used by anglers around the world. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Product Category Assistant to join our Product team and support the development, launch and ongoing management of our product ranges. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to build a long-term career in Product Management, Category Management or Commercial Operations. Working alongside experienced Product Category Managers and our Head of Product, you'll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle—from product development and launches through to sales analysis, inventory management and range planning. What You'll Be Doing You'll support the Product team by:
- Maintaining accurate product information and specifications across business systems
- Assisting with new product launches and product lifecycle management
- Supporting product development projects and timelines through ClickUp
- Preparing reports and product performance information for the Product team
- Coordinating information between Product, Sales, Marketing and Operations
- Assisting with product range reviews and category planning activities
- Helping ensure products move smoothly from concept through to market launch What We're Looking For We're less concerned with having experience in every system and more interested in finding someone who is organised, curious and eager to learn. You may have experience in:
- Product administration
- Category administration
- Sales support
- E-commerce administration
- Merchandise coordination
- Commercial administration
- Retail operations You'll likely bring:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Confidence working with data and spreadsheets
- Strong communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- A willingness to learn new systems and processes Experience with Excel, Power BI, Shopify, ClickUp or ERP systems is advantageous but not essential. About You You are organised, detail-oriented and love making things run smoothly. Just as importantly, you're passionate about fishing and excited by the idea of working with products used by anglers around the world. You might currently work in retail, tackle, sales support, e-commerce, administration or another commercial role, but you're looking for an opportunity to build a career in the fishing industry and eventually grow into a Product Category Manager role.
