Database Geologist (Brisbane)

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Geologist to join a energetic minerals exploration team in Brisbane. This is an exciting six (6)-month prospect offering a Monday to Friday work schedule, with flexible hybrid arrangements (up to two (2) days working from home). In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, integrity and accessibility of exploration data to support informed geological interpretation and project success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collating exploration data from multiple projects and jurisdictions within a geospatial environment.
- Validating drilling, sampling and assay data to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Performing QAQC checks to maintain high data quality and integrity standards.
- Ensuring exploration datasets are well-governed, structured and readily accessible for geological interpretation and reporting.
- Supporting the Geology Team by maintaining reliable, fit-for-purpose databases that underpin exploration decision-making.
- Adhering to company standards in safety, environmental compliance and data governance. To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring:
- A Degree in Geology, with a strong focus on database management.
- Proven experience using geological and database software such as ArcGIS, acQuire, QGIS or similar.
- Demonstrated experience working with large exploration datasets in a mining or exploration environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to data validation and quality control.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
