Support Worker/ Caregiver (Brisbane Northside)

**About this position**: In this instance, we are looking to hire suitably qualified, trained and experienced Caregivers and/ or Enrolled Nurses to work in collaboration with an existing care team, providing critical daily support to a young NDIS participant living with their family in the northern suburbs of Brisbane.

Our client requires high intensity support from caregivers who are confident and skilled with managing complex disability needs including: enteral feeding, medication administration, behaviour management and use of specialised equipment.

This client requires 24/7 care so reliability, dedication and commitment are vital. The care roster includes a range of regular/ ongoing shifts that have been designed to meet the clients’ specific daily clinical needs. Shifts vary in duration from 3.5hrs, 5hrs, 5.5hrs and up to 10hrs (i.e. active overnight).

**Other Skills & Experience**
- Must have experience working with children.
- Must be able to speak and write in English.
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to management when needed.
- Reliable way to get to and from the client's homes (i.e. driving your own vehicle, no reliance on public transport).

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Current AHPRA Registration (for EN's)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/ Aged Care) or equivalent experience (for Caregivers)
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working With Children Check (e.g. QLD ‘Blue Card’)
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance (e.g. QLD ‘Yellow Card’)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Current Driver’s licence + your own reliable vehicle (suitable for transporting clients with disability).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.96
- $93.72 per hour
