Base salary will be in the range $117,****** – $138,****** plus 17% super (Academic Level B) or $143,****** – $164,****** plus 17% super (Academic Level C). About This Opportunity This full-time academic role invites a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to combine teaching excellence with research leadership at the University of Queensland's School of the Environment. Key Responsibilities Teaching: Deliver undergraduate, honours and postgraduate courses, including fieldwork and innovative curriculum design; support student learning and wellbeing. Research: Develop an independent research program, publish in high-quality journals and secure research funding. Senior lecturers also lead strategic collaborations and translate research into societal impact. Supervision & Development: Supervise Honours and Higher Degree students; coach and develop faculty and staff. Senior lecturers act as Principal Supervisor and guide supervision practices. Citizenship & Service: Contribute to School and University governance, mentor colleagues, cultivate partnerships and uphold UQ values. About You Applicants should possess a PhD in a field relevant to physical geography. Please indicate which academic level you are applying for and provide evidence for all items below. Level B Lecturer Growing profile in teaching and research. Developing reputation and track record of publications in refereed journals and conference presentations. Evidence of successful external research funding. High-quality teaching evidence at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels. Experience in course coordination and curriculum development. Record of supervising Honours and Higher Degree students to successful completion. Internal service roles with external contributions. Level C Senior Lecturer Established profile in teaching and research. National and emerging international recognition with robust publication record. Strong record of securing and managing external research funding. Evidence of quality teaching across all levels. Robust track record of course coordination and curriculum innovation. Solid record of supervising Higher Degree students to completion. Significant internal service and external activities.
