Description
Overview We are seeking casual Support Trainers to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. You will work alongside a values‐led team to support trainees to grow in confidence, capability and independence, while building your own career within a purpose‐driven organisation committed to meaningful outcomes. Your Impact in This Role The Support Trainer reports directly to the centre Team Leader and works with Service Coordinators, external specialists and other team members to support people with disability to thrive and learn. What can you expect in a typical day working as a Support Trainer? Group support and 1‐to‐1 care in our learning programmes and community outings; actively participating and engaging in activities to meet trainee goals; modelling behaviour to encourage learning; maintaining a positive, values‐based approach; completing and recording progress notes in CareMaster; following care plans in line with trainee goals; ensuring incident procedures are followed; developing and designing meaningful learning outcomes for trainees. Responsibilities Group support and 1‐to‐1 care in our learning programmes and community outings Actively participate and engage in activities to ensure the development of trainee goals are met Enhance the skills and knowledge of trainees by modelling behaviour, providing opportunities for growth Work in a positive manner, encompassing the organisation's values and philosophy for meaningful outcomes Complete and record progress notes in CareMaster Follow care plans in line with trainee goals to enhance their experience within our learning programmes Ensure correct incident procedures are followed Develop and design meaningful learning outcomes for trainees Position Requirements Minimum 12 months experience within the disability sector (desirable) Experience working with complex behaviours and disorders Flexibility to travel across various locations Australian working rights Full maintained vehicle with comprehensive car insurance NDIS Workers Clearance Check Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Cert III or Cert IV in individual support or equivalent Advantages Salary packaging options of up to $15,900 per annum.
