Role Summary ESS is seeking experienced Chefs to work full-time at our Eureka Creek Village, Goonyella Road, Moranbah, Central Qld. The role involves a 14‐day on / 7‐day off roster, 10‐hour days, with salary of $***** + super. Locals will drive in/out; non‐locals will fly in/out from Brisbane with flights, accommodation and meals provided. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees. Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and Desserts. Ensure OH&S; compliance, adhere to safe work practices and food handling procedures. Maintain all catering controls and keep waste to a minimum. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards. Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development. Qualifications Qualified Chef with a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent. Bulk catering or buffet experience is essential. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and excellent time management. Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations. Excellent knowledge of food safety and ability to manage compliance. Must be able to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug and alcohol test. Standard11 Certificate (desirable).
