Role Purpose / Responsibilities This is an exciting, newly created post‐doctoral opportunity to lead research projects on the development of novel cancer immunotherapeutics, focusing on Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cells. The position involves translating basic immunology and gene technology know‐how into clinically applicable therapies. Perform laboratory research as an independent, self‐motivated scientist with minimal day‐to‐day supervision, using cell and gene technology, in and out‐of‐vivo immunological assays, and molecular and cell biology assays. Actively contribute to the preparation of safety, ethics and other regulatory applications and compliance reporting, and to the preparation of protocols and other technical writing. Assist in the supervision of higher‐degree students and research assistants. About You PhD in immunology, cancer immunotherapy, or cell and gene technology. Robust background in immunology and molecular biology with strong technical skills in immunological assays and molecular biology techniques. Good knowledge of techniques and procedures in immunology research and molecular biology. Bioinformatics skills highly desirable. Experience with gene‐editing and gene vector technology, fluorescence imaging, and relevant animal models desirable. Demonstrated scientific rigor, inquisitiveness, willingness to learn, and record of peer‐reviewed publications. Excellent technical and scientific writing skills. Remuneration Salary range is $98,983 to $106,201 p.a. plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full‐time, fixed‐term appointment for 12months. What We Offer Salary packaging.
