Atcss Engineering Lead (Brisbane)

Overview Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised ATCSS Engineering Lead to join our team of outstanding professionals across a wide variety of disciplines. The Air Traffic Control System (ADATS) Support Program provides Air Traffic Control services to Defence locations across Australia. This nationally significant program encompasses radar systems, data processing platforms, communications infrastructure and advanced ATM capabilities that ensure safe and efficient military aviation operations nationwide. Responsibilities Provide authoritative technical direction, guidance and mentoring to the ATCSS IPT team, ensuring adherence to engineering and safety standards across all activities. Develop and maintain ATCSS IPT task schedules, tracking progress against plans and reporting status to the System IPT Lead and program management. Oversee the planning and execution of ATCSS tasking activities, ensuring all deliverables meet customer requirements and company quality processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for ATCSS IPT communications with internal and external stakeholders, allocating and managing team resources to meet program demands. Skills, Experience & Qualifications University Degree in Engineering with a significant Electrical Engineering component. Minimum of 6 years relevant experience and career development sufficient to attain recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia. Demonstrated understanding of engineering management practices including work scheduling, prioritisation, coaching and process execution. Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams autonomously, communicate effectively across stakeholder groups, analyse and solve difficult technical problems, and deliver outcomes under schedule and budget pressure. Advanced knowledge of electrical design, including configuration control, Military Standard component/subsystem selection and procurement, and familiarity with AS**** Wiring Rules. Experience in system integration and testing, with technical competency across requirements engineering interface/cable design, EME, grounding, bonding and power distribution. Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 level Security clearance as needed.
