Preventative Maintenance Electrician (Brisbane)

Plant/Site: Wacol Date Posted: 12 Apr **** Overview Primo is looking for a proactive Preventative Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenance team in Wacol. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, safety and efficiency of our production lines through planned electrical maintenance and continuous improvement. Working predominantly during scheduled downtime, you will help minimise equipment failures, improve plant performance and support a high‐volume manufacturing operation. The role will be working 5:00am to 3:00pm, rostered for 4 days on, 1 off, 4 days on, 5 off, and offers a market‐competitive salary with potential for overtime. Key Responsibilities Perform planned preventative electrical maintenance on production lines to maximise equipment uptime Identify, diagnose and resolve electrical faults Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and components Use multimeters, PLC diagnostics and electrical schematics to identify root causes Support the optimisation and upkeep of control systems Respond to unscheduled electrical issues and alarms during shift as required Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant efficiency, reduce downtime and enhance performance Participate in root cause analysis and recommend long‐term corrective actions and equipment upgrades What You'll Bring A current Queensland (QLD) electrical licence Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, ideally within manufacturing or packaging environments Strong understanding of PLCs, automation systems, power distribution and fault‐finding techniques Experience working in fast‐paced, high‐volume production or food manufacturing environments Proactive, detail‐oriented team player with strong problem‐solving and communication skills Benefits Stable, full‐time prospect within a well‐established manufacturing business Discounts at our Hans Factory shop Novated leasing and discounts for health insurance and retail partners Free onsite physio & chiropractor services Training and career development pathways Equal Employment Opportunity At Primo Foods, we're committed to creating a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone.
