The Wave (Rail) is a generational infrastructure project that will revolutionise travel for the Sunshine Coast region, creating a seamless public transport network for the region. The Wave will deliver heavy passenger rail from Beerwah to Birtinya and metro‐style vehicles will provide links between Birtinya, Mountain Creek, Maroochydore CBD and the Sunshine Coast Airport. The Wave is a mega‐project, with $5.5 billion committed towards delivery of heavy passenger rail to Caloundra that will help shape the region and unlock new housing and economic opportunities. The project is now in the pre‐delivery phase, with procurement underway and construction activities expected to commence late****, subject to approvals. In March****, the Queensland Government committed to delivery of The Wave Stage 2, which includes rail from Caloundra to Birtinya. The Opportunity The Principal Advisor (Property) plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of The Wave – Stage 1 and 2 (Rail) project by providing strategic property advice and coordinating complex land acquisition and disposal activities across the project corridor. This role ensures property‐related risks, constraints and opportunities are proactively managed, while supporting compliance with legislative, regulatory and policy requirements relating to land tenure, property transactions and stakeholder engagement. You will work collaboratively with project teams, government agencies, property owners and external stakeholders to facilitate timely and coordinated property outcomes that support project delivery. Success in this role will involve providing trusted specialist advice, leading complex negotiations and property activities and contributing to a high‐performing, solutions‐focused team environment that supports the efficient delivery of this major infrastructure program.
