About the Role Aurizn are seeking a motivated Research Engineer to join a collaborative team working on advanced sensing and signal processing technologies. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of cutting‐edge algorithms, supporting everything from concept development through to real‐world testing and system integration. You'll work closely with experienced engineers across research and software teams, helping bring cutting‐edge ideas into practical application. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and analysis of advanced signal processing algorithms for detection, tracking, and characterisation of targets Support the design and implementation of array processing and estimation techniques Build and test algorithm prototypes using tools like MATLAB Analyse data, generate insights, and present findings through clear visualisations and reports Participate in lab and field trials to validate performance using real‐world data Collaborate with software engineers to transition prototypes into deployable solutions About You A degree in Electronic, Electrical, or related engineering discipline, with a few years of relevant experience Strong foundations in signal processing and analytical problem‐solving Experience using MATLAB (or similar tools) for modelling, simulation, or algorithm development A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly Exposure to programming languages such as Python or C/C++ Familiarity with sensing systems, RF concepts, or array‐based processing Due to a requirement to be eligible for a NV1 security clearance, Australian Citizenship is required We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
