About the Program The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. Role Summary You will be a Senior Systems Engineer based in Brisbane, reporting to the MQ-28 DME Engineering Manager. From this position you will support the development and deployment of the Digital Model Ecosystem, working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary multinational team to inform requirements and develop digital artefacts across a broad range of domains. Location Brisbane Category Engineering / Technical Position Type Permanent Job Reference BOE/******* Responsibilities Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders across technical engineering and specialty areas to develop and integrate innovative artefacts to enable our digital ecosystem. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to define use cases, delegate requirements and inform modelling and simulation capability. Manage dependencies, assess trades and support technical design reviews in collaboration with the broader project team to ensure the engineering scope is delivered with quality and on schedule. Coordinate, plan and conduct integration and verification testing of the MQ-28 digital ecosystem. Demonstrate leadership in development, review and approval of engineering documentation and designs while providing mentoring of less experienced staff. Support third‐party integration, working with suppliers and customers to define, refine and use the MQ-28 digital environment. Manage technical risk and support identification, analysis and resolution of problem reports. Plan and coordinate incremental capability development and delivery within an AGILE framework. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in complex technical development and integration projects. Hold tertiary qualifications in Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline. Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle (essential). Demonstrated experience in avionics system‐level testing in laboratory and ground test environments (desirable). Experience with aircraft avionics, sensors and UAV systems (desirable). Familiarity with engineering change processes. Familiarity with software development, test and integration. Experience with aerospace and/or Defence projects (highly regarded). Applicants Must Be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
