About the role We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Colmslie Hotel in Morningside, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a diverse range of dishes from our menu Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen Carrying out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard Participating in the rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities Contributing ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance our menu offerings Ensuring a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen workplace at all times Qualifications Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food Excellent time management and organisational skills Enthusiasm for creating innovative and delicious dishes Benefits We are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
