- Wacol. Real Work with Real Outcomes – Starting in January 7, our program offers a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement. This immersive, hands-on program provides practical learning through hands-on experience and meaningful work. Participants will complete two -month rotational placements, gaining a comprehensive technical and commercial skills training blend. The program includes continuous coaching, mentorship, and formal training, allowing participants to rotate through diverse business units. This structure ensures a thorough understanding of operations and strategic initiatives, combining on-the-job learning with formal education. As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will participate in a structured development program offering comprehensive exposure to core engineering functions within our plant. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real projects that drive plant reliability, safety, and performance. Dive deep into the realms of research and development Gain hands-on experience in auditing our energy management and metals recycling system Engage in diverse and intriguing tasks in various chemical engineering areas Learn project management skills, leading and coordinating projects effectively. We are seeking adaptable, motivated individuals who demonstrate: A strong foundation in Process engineering principles Strong problem-solving and communication skills Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn The ability to thrive in a dynamic and industrial environment A proactive approach to learning, teamwork, and safety A commitment to driving continuous improvement and making meaningful contributions to the business. Eligibility Criteria: A genuine passion for Chemical and Material Systems within the operational context of metals recycling Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights. Completion of an Australian tertiary degree (Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering) within the past three years or set to conclude in 6.
