Glascott is looking for a hard-working, problem-solving junior Safety Officer to join the Brisbane team. At Glascott, safety isn’t a checklist — it’s a core value. With over 38 years of delivering large-scale landscape and civil construction projects across Australia, we are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Safety Officer to support our project and maintenance teams and uphold our strong safety culture. This role is ideal for a motivated safety professional who thrives in a dynamic construction / maintenance environments and is passionate about driving best-practice WHS outcomes. About the Role Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager, you will play a key role in supporting operational teams by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving safety systems across active projects. You will work across both of our brands Glascott and Technigro to support our construction projects along with our maintenance divisions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day WHS support across multiple projects
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Assist in the development and review of SWMS and safety documentation
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training initiatives
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and company policies
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture onsite About You You are a confident communicator with robust attention to detail and a practical understanding of safety within construction environments. Essential:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Experience in landscaping industries, construction and /or maintenance
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to build relationships with site teams
- Driver’s licence
- White card Desirable:
- ICAM / incident investigation training
- Return-to-work coordination experience
