Mid-Level IT Support / Systems Administator (Brisbane)

We are looking for a hands-on IT support / systems person to join the team. This role is not help desk-only — you will be working across infrastructure, systems, and networking in a production environment. We support ~40+ users, covering everything from password resets to software installs. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing and maintaining Active Directory, including GPOs, users, and permissions.
- Supporting and maintaining TrueNAS systems, including ZFS pools, snapshots, and replication.
- Working with network infrastructure — VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and general troubleshooting.
- Managing and maintaining pfSense firewalls.
- Supporting UniFi environments (switching, Wi-Fi, and basic access control).
- Supporting Windows 11 environments across users and workstations.
- Handling software deployment via OPSI.
- Administering and supporting Google Workspace.
- General troubleshooting across servers, network, and endpoints.
- Maintaining and updating our virtual servers. What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of ZFS (snapshots, replication, general pool management).
- Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, switching).
- Experience with pfSense or similar firewall platforms.
- Familiarity with UniFi systems.
- Experience supporting Windows 11 in a business environment.
- Experience with Linux in a server environment (Proxmox, Truenas and generic Debian based systems).
- Experience with OPSI or similar deployment tools.
- Experience with Google Workspace.
- Experience with Univention Corporate Server is a bonus. The Kind of Person this Suits:
