Chef, Food Services (Casual) Employment Type: Casual – 16+ hours per week with opportunities for more Remuneration: $***** – $***** p/h + Casual Loading + 11.5% Super – Not for Profit Salary Packaging Location: The Wesley Hospital, Auchenflower Role Overview As a Chef in our Food Services culinary team, you will produce upmarket cuisine for executive functions, events, and day‑to‑day operations in a hotel‑style room service kitchen. You will apply hospitality experience to a dedicated Healthcare setting and may progress toward membership with the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare. Responsibilities
- Produce up to **** meals per day in a skilled kitchen.
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals for executive functions and events.
- Operate within the main production kitchen sections and rotate as needed.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, HACCP, and PPE compliance.
- Collaborate with the culinary team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of post‑apprenticeship experience in hospitality (restaurants, food outlets, cafés).
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Professional attitude and excellent personal presentation.
- Proficiency in all aspects of food safety and HACCP principles. Benefits
