An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our newly established Brisbane Distribution Centre. This role will oversee day-to-day inbound and outbound activity of the warehousing and inventory functions and fulfill the strategic longer-term inventory directives for the Boart Longyear Drilling Products business. Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Direct and control all warehousing and inventory functions to optimise the utilisation of the Brisbane Distribution Centre,
- Oversee the selection and training of warehouse staff and delegating responsibilities to the team,
- Lead and promote a Safety Culture through managing the warehouse EHS Safety Management Plan,
- Perform / Oversee following functions:
- Inventory cycle counting, stock takes, claims, variance resolution and all other inventory management tasks,
- Supervise the process of inbound and outbound of the goods for control and efficiency,
- Supervise the picking and packing process, for both timeliness and accuracy,
- Manage claims, identify root cause, perform analysis and take the corresponding action to reduce occurrences,
- Coordinate with internal customers for order prioritization and management of transportation,
- Plan, evaluate, distribute and develop the warehouse team’s activities to achieve set goals and targets,
- Provide timely shipping and transportation documentation back to all customers,
- Promote a culture of compliance in line with our Legal and Corporate Policy requirements. A Few Other Things We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehousing and inventory management,
- Previous leadership experience,
- Solid problem solving, interpersonal and influencing skills,
- Highly developed verbal communication skills,
- Strong working knowledge of the inventory lifecycle,
- Result-driven and customer service focus at all times,
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business requirements,
