Telecommunications & Electronic Repair Technician (Brisbane)

POSITION OVERVIEW DUONS is seeking a Telecommunications & Electronic Repair Technician to support workshop repair, diagnostics, testing, and technical support activities across a range of telecommunications and industrial electronic boards, modules, assemblies, and associated systems. This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with electronic repair experience, strong fault-finding capability, and an interest in telecommunications systems and infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnostics and repair of telecommunications and industrial electronic equipment
- Component-level fault finding and replacement
- Testing and verification of repaired equipment
- Electrical testing and associated technical activities where required
- Preparation of basic repair and technical report
- Workshop support activities including inventory and spare parts handling
- Support for telecommunications infrastructure and technical projects when required
- Assistance with equipment integration, testing, and commissioning activities
- Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety (WHS/OHS), ESD, and quality procedures
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment EQUIPMENT & TECHNOLOGIES The role may involve work on:
- Microwave and RF equipment
- Power supplies and inverter systems
- Telecommunications transmission hardware
- Industrial electronic assemblies
- Network support equipment
- Test and measurement instruments SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in electronics, telecommunications, industrial electronics, or similar technical environments
- Strong practical fault-finding ability
- Ability to read technical documentation and schematics
- Experience using electronic test equipment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Practical and hands-on technical mindset
- Robust curiosity and willingness to learn across a broad range of equipment and technologies ADVANTAGEOUS
- Electronics or telecommunications qualification
- Experience with RF or microwave systems
- Experience in workshop repair environments
- Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure
- Experience with calibration and/or electrical testing activities
