Data Engineer: SAP HANA Migrations & Spark Pipelines (Brisbane)

Position Overview Brisbane based candidates only. 6 month day rate contract. 50/50 hybrid working environment Central Brisbane location. - Migrating data models from SAP HANA to on-prem SQL
- Repointing reports to new data models post migration
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business needs
- Design and implement data models and structures for optimal storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
- Ensure data quality and integrity through robust validation processes
- Optimise data workflows for improved performance and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
- Provide technical expertise on data engineering best practices and tools
- Document data processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders Skills And Experience
- Robust skills in data engineering, data migration and database management
- Familiarity with SAP HANA data platform
- Proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development
- Strong experience with relevant programming languages (SQL, Python)
- Strong experience in the Azure data ecosystem and/or Microsoft Fabric (Ideal)
- Strong experience with Databricks platform
- Building and managing Spark-based data pipelines
- Working with Delta Lake / Delta tables
- Strong experience with Data warehousing and Lakehouse architectures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail
- Solid communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders What's on Offer
