- Deliver risk engagements from planning to reporting across compliance, financial, operational, and strategic risk areas, ensuring high‑quality outcomes while coaching junior team members.
- Assess clients’ processes and controls, identify opportunities to mitigate risks and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Keep current with industry trends, regulatory changes and EY tools to enhance audit approaches and client solutions.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, becoming a trusted advisor in understanding and managing key business risks and in designing and delivering internal audit plans.
- Lead teams to deliver risk engagements, coaching and developing junior members, and provide impactful recommendations that strengthen internal control frameworks. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hold a valid Working Holiday Visa for Australia with at least 6 months remaining and be available for a 6‑month contract in early ****.
- Potential for sponsorship for a longer‑term work visa (subject to eligibility and approvals).
- Professional accreditations and qualifications will be considered favorably (CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP certification within one year of hire).
- Proven ability to deliver engagements end‑to‑end, producing high‑quality work on time through strong analytical skills, organisational capability and attention to detail.
- Strong ownership of work and commitment to seeing engagements through.
- Sound understanding of core business processes, risks and controls, with the ability to assess control design and operating effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Senior Consultant: minimum 3 years’ experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
- Manager: minimum 6 years’ experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and robust written communication ability.
