Operations Support Scientist (Brisbane)

Job Title Operations Support Scientist Employment Type 12‑month fixed‑term role with a chance for conversion to full time. Work Schedule 12 hr shift/days Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards. Location Brisbane, Australia Reports to Ops Support Team Lead Position Summary This role sits with the Brisbane / Drug Substance Division – one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. At the Brisbane site, we specialise in GMP manufacturing and commercialisation of large molecule biologics, applying proven manufacturing approaches. The role supports the MSS team with material movement within the production facility, ensuring all materials are delivered to the production suites in line with the production schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the MSS team and greater OPS group to ensure all material is delivered to the production suites as per the production schedule.
- Partnering with the supply chain to maintain site safety stock levels through weekly stock replenishment orders.
- Daily top‑up of cleanroom gowns (scrubs, smocks and coveralls) to meet production needs; ensuring laundry is sent off as scheduled.
- Coordinating site daily cleaning requirements and ensuring adequate cleaning supplies (e.g., mop heads, chemicals) are in circulation.
- Assembly and autoclaving of manifolds and filters for the site.
- Performing filter integrity testing.
- Proactively identifying and solving practical problems, proposing possible solutions and communicating them to the responsible person.
- Adhering to the Patheon cGMP Quality Management System and the Patheon EH&S; requirements.
- Adhering to OHS policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment. Skills & Attributes
