About the role We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. The ideal candidate will have experience in Education, Orthopaedics, Urology and Neurology, and will join the Education Team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. This is a permanent, part‑time role of 72 hours (0.9FTE) per fortnight, weekdays. Reporting to the Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. The role supports the department's vision of delivering evidence‑based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners' needs. Key responsibilities include:
- All aspects of education and training within the clinical environment
- Providing excellent person‑centred development of staff
- Assessment of clinical skills
- Assisting with clinical education events
- Supporting other education activities within the hospital in close collaboration with other members of the clinical education team About our hospital At St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year. The hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17‑bed ICU, Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24‑hour private emergency centre. - Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- More than 3 years' experience in at least one of the specialties – Orthopaedics, Urology or Neurology – and willingness to upskill in the other areas as required
- Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities and solid communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated experience in an education or clinical facilitation role is desirable
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current) is highly desirable
