Internal Expression of Interest (EOI) Head of Security – Operations Location: Brisbane Business Unit:Trident Services Australia– Trident Services Security Reports to:Executive General Manager – Operations Opportunity Overview An exciting internal opportunity is now available for an experienced and strategic operational leader to join the business asHead of Security – Operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, compliance, governance, training, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the security business nationally. The successful candidate will act as the business unit’s subject matter expert, supporting operational leaders, site teams, and key stakeholders while delivering consistent, compliant, and customer-focused operational outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operations
- Provide operational leadership and specialist advice across the business unit
- Support delivery of strategic and operational objectives
- Drive operational consistency, compliance, and service excellence nationally
- Foster a high-performing and accountable culture Client & Commercial Support
- Maintain and strengthen key client relationships
- Support business growth initiatives, tenders, and partnerships
- Oversee operational performance and contract outcomes
- Support incident response and operational risk management activities Compliance, Governance & Training
- Lead the development and review of policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and organisational requirements
- Drive audit, assurance, and governance programs nationally
- Develop and implement operational training programs and content
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business Technology & Innovation
- Support operational technology and innovation initiatives
- Drive adoption of systems and technology-led solutions
- Use reporting and operational data to improve decision making and performance outcomes About You You are a confident operational leader with strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management capability, and experience leading large operational teams. You will demonstrate:
- Extensive leadership experience within security, facilities services, asset management, or similar operational environments
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, WHS, and risk management
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills
- Financial management and operational planning capability
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership
- Minimum 8–10+ years’ experience in senior operational leadership roles
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Class 2 Security Licence
- Valid ASIC/MSIC accreditation
- Ability to maintain NV1 Security Clearance
- Ability to travel nationally as required Desirable Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, Law, MBA, or related discipline
- Cert II in Security Operations
