Arts Queensland is looking for a temporary full-time Advisor – Building and Horticulture Services (AO5) to work at the Queensland Cultural Centre, South Brisbane. This fixed‑term position will run until 04 June **** and includes professional development opportunities. Responsibilities
- Maintain oversight and conduct periodic reviews of building and horticulture service schedules to ensure they meet QCC needs; adjust service delivery to remedy hazards such as slipping and obstructions.
- Identify circumstances that impact the delivery of contracted services (e.g., road closures or planned works) and keep stakeholders and primary contractors informed of changes to schedules and service expectations.
- Administer contract and finance‑related tasks, including processing invoices and forms, managing recurring contract costs, and identifying financial variations.
- Visit and regularly inspect contractor work areas, break‑out spaces, and storage facilities.
- Conduct market analysis, as requested, to investigate contract costs and service delivery alternatives to achieve lower costs and greater efficiencies for consideration by senior management. Qualifications
- Experience in building and horticulture services.
- Current resume detailing previous work history.
- Two professional referees who can attest to performance and conduct over the past two years.
- Disclosure of any history of responsible disciplinary action in accordance with section 71 of the Public Sector Act.
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest in accordance with PSA sections 89, 182 and 183. Salary & Advantages
- Salary range: $104,722 – $113,619 per annum + *****% super.
