Job Description Our graduate program is a 12‑month journey that gives you real‑world experience, hands‑on learning, and exposure to industry‑leading projects. You'll gain hands‑on experience by shadowing senior leaders and participating in engaging chats with industry experts, providing deep insights into consulting fundamentals and the industries we serve. With structured learning, personalised mentoring, e‑learning pathways, and ongoing feedback, we’ll set you up for success from day one. About Programs and Risk As a graduate within our Programs and Risk team, you will gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of our service areas, including:
- Internal Audit: We provide innovative internal audit services to help clients improve their organisational performance and systems of governance, risk management and internal control. We provide advisory services for internal audit strategy and function uplift as well as audits and reviews across strategy, processes, people, projects and technology. We deliver technology‑driven compliance audit services as well as performance and advisory reviews in emerging areas of high demand such as risk culture, cyber security, control of cloud, AI and automation, eP3M, regulatory compliance.
- Governance, Risk and Compliance: We support our clients to achieve their risk and compliance objectives in a proactive and sustainable way. We de‑risk operations, programmes and new initiatives through upfront advice and framework establishment, ensuring risk awareness and culture is built in by design, and deliver assurance and compliance services over performance. We partner with eGRC technology providers to ensure our clients have access to the latest innovations in risk and regulatory technology.
- Program Excellence: We support clients to feel confident in the planning, delivery and impact of their programmes, policies and initiatives. We help clients translate policy directives into implementation‑ready programmes. As a part of this, we work with our clients to select appropriate funding models and to work effectively with their third‑party delivery partners and providers. Clients also come to us when they need assurance that complex, transformational programmes are delivered as intended. They engage us proactively to establish programme monitoring mechanisms and retrospectively to offer an independent perspective on the outcomes of a programme. About Cyber As a graduate within our Cyber team, you will gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of our service areas, including:
- Cyber & Tech Risk: The mission of our Cyber & Tech Risk practice is to increase public trust and participation in government digital services; a key driver in improving Australia's productivity, equality, resilience and prosperity. Our subject matter specialists bring scale and expertise across all phases of cyber transformation covering advisory and assurance, privacy and data governance, digital identity, technology implementation and ongoing security operations.
- Cyber Advisory: Our Cyber Advisory team helps our clients identify, measure and appropriately manage cyber and technology risks. We translate the complex world of cyber security by assessing weaknesses in defences, developing strategies, roadmaps and operating models to improve maturity and posture, and supporting with the implementation of people, process and technology changes. As part of a team of specialists, perform threat, risk and maturity assessments against industry frameworks, help develop cyber strategies and operating models, be part of large‑scale cyber transformation programmes that help reduce risk for our clients, including supply‑chain risk. Get hands‑on experience with helping clients understand and apply industry and government information security frameworks such as ISO *5*, ASD Essential Eight (E8) and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), while gaining exposure to leading enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platforms. Qualifications You can apply if you’re in the final year of your degree and will have completed by March *4*, or if you completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in *4*. You will need to be an Australian or NewZealand citizen or Permanent Resident. For Canberra roles: you must be an Australian citizen, as these roles require the ability to obtain NV1 clearance.
