Driver Academy For Women- Operator/ Driver (Brisbane)

Cleanaway is Australia's largest waste management organisation with over 10,000 employees working at more than 400 sites, delivering sustainable solutions to councils, businesses, large corporates and government agencies. Program Details The program starts in June ****, with a 4:00am start time. It is tailored for women, female-identifying and non-binary individuals. The Role This role involves servicing multiple customer sites local to the Brisbane region. Tasks include collecting used cooking oils into a rigid tanker truck, transporting them to the disposal plant for recycling, performing manual handling, heavy lifting, and operating vehicles and equipment safely while completing accurate paperwork and records. Responsibilities
- Operate the collection vehicle.
- Perform loading and unloading duties of waste product.
- Deliver loads to nominated disposal facilities.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintain presentation of the vehicle, inside and out.
- Comfortable with a high level of manual handling. Training and Licences
- Paid 5‑week Training Program will include:
- Obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence.
- Uniforms and PPE.
- Training to become an operator/driver. Requirements
- Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months.
- Driving history check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining.
- No heavy vehicle driving experience required.
- Pass pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol test and Police Check.
