Electrical System Engineer (Brisbane)

Overview Vertical Scope Group continues to grow our international relationships across the APAC region and is seeking a highly skilled NV1 Electrical/System Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Defence Capability Integration. Contract Details 12-month contract with potential 6-month extension. Brisbane (preferred) or Melbourne. NV1 Security Clearance required. Strong experience in electrical engineering, systems engineering, RF communications, Defence platform integration, or military C4 systems. Role Join a high-performing Defence capability program supporting the modernisation of advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems for the Australian Defence environment. This role offers the chance to contribute to the integration and delivery of complex electronic and communications systems across critical Army platforms, working alongside Government and industry stakeholders on nationally significant projects. Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical and/or systems engineering support for complex C4I integration projects.
- Conduct requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and verification activities.
- Develop technical documentation, engineering reports, and design artefacts.
- Support Preliminary and Detailed Design Reviews, certification activities, and compliance processes.
- Assist with prototype development, installation, testing, and system validation activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and industry partners to achieve project outcomes. Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' relevant industry experience in complex engineering environments.
- Experience integrating communications, RF, networking, or electronic systems into land or Defence platforms.
- Solid understanding of engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and systems assurance practices.
- Experience with verification & validation (V&V;), hazard analysis, and technical reporting.
- Defence industry experience and knowledge of RF environments, electronic warfare, or US export‑controlled programs will be highly regarded. Diversity & Inclusion We proudly welcome applications from:
