We are exploring talent for a potential upcoming opportunity with a major Queensland client and would like to connect with experienced Java Developers interested in future permanent roles. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a mix of hands‑on development, production support and continuous improvement, working across a portfolio of custom‑built applications in a complex enterprise environment. You would work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and deliver reliable outcomes across business‑critical systems. What the role is likely to involve
- Supporting and enhancing Java-based enterprise applications
- Investigating incidents, problems and root causes across production environments
- Working alongside Level 2 support teams to resolve technical issues
- Delivering minor enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working with local and offshore/hybrid delivery teams
- Participating in an on‑call support roster What we’re interested in
- Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs and Hibernate
- Background in application support within enterprise or managed services environments
- Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Comfortable working in UNIX/Linux environments
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical capability
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience with Apache Tomcat / web services highly regarded
