Lead Civil Engineer - Brisbane (Brisbane City)

Hatch seeks a highly motivated Lead Civil Engineer to provide technical direction across civil site development projects, combining hands‑on technical input with people leadership and client engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership across civil engineering disciplines including roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, building site works, water and sewerage reticulation
- Leading and reviewing civil designs to ensure high‑quality, compliant project deliverables
- Acting as a client‑facing technical lead and representing Hatch’s values and standards
- Supporting project delivery from early studies through to detailed design and construction phases
- Mentoring and developing civil engineers and supporting performance management outcomes
- Contributing to continuous improvement of civil design practices and processes
- Collaborating closely with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions Qualifications You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution and bring demonstrated experience in a similar senior or lead civil role. Your background will include strong design capability across bulk earthworks, site grading, surface water management, access and haul roads, and earth structures. You are committed to health and safety outcomes, comfortable providing technical authority, and confident engaging with clients. Experience working on industrial and mining projects will be highly regarded, along with a collaborative leadership style and a desire to continue building team capability. Benefits
