Senior Electrical Designer (Brisbane City)

Providing Electrical Design / Drafting within an Engineering Consultancy environment. We have an immediate requirement for a Lead / Senior Electrical Designer to support the Wave International Electrical team in delivering high‑quality drawings from concept through to final design and construction. Working across a diverse range of projects, including bespoke electrical scopes, study phases, FEED, and full project delivery, this role will also provide design and drafting support across various resources projects throughout Australia. You will be supported by a collaborative and experienced Wave team, ensuring works are delivered to a consistently high standard. Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design, including preparation of reports and development of electrical improvement scopes.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and project teams, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration across disciplines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering technical growth and best practices within the team.
- Deliver high-quality 2D and 3D design outputs, with proficiency in AutoCAD (and other relevant design tools). Skills & Experience
- Proven background in electrical design across mineral processing and resources sectors, preferably within consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical/ Instrumentation design practices.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly communicate discipline requirements to project teams and clients.
- Ability to deliver cost‑effective, best‑practice design and drafting solutions. This is an office‑based role located in our Brisbane office. Why Join Us?
