Job Description Reporting to the News Graphics Supervisor, you will be the creative force behind the visual storytelling of Queensland’s leading news bulletins. This role focuses on designing high‑impact motion graphics and animations that translate complex news stories into engaging, viewer‑friendly content for 9News. As a casual member of our high‑performance team, you will enjoy the variety of a flexible roster that responds to the evolving news cycle. Day To Day You Will
- Design and produce high‑quality animations for same‑day news bulletins.
- Ensure all visual assets strictly adhere to Nine’s branding and style guidelines.
- Create dynamic background displays and digital assets for live studio sets.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to develop accurate, data‑driven visualisations.
- Consult with Producers and Reporters to translate briefs into compelling visuals.
- Manage technical rendering and delivery workflows under tight broadcast deadlines.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends and industry‑standard software. What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality creative work under live broadcast pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A disciplined approach to following branding and style requirements.
- Prior experience in a live newsroom or television environment is highly regarded.
