About the role We are looking for a highly strategic, culturally connected and commercially minded PR, Influencer & Events Manager to lead the next phase of growth for the ghd brand across Australia and New Zealand. This is a multi-disciplinary position across influencer marketing, earned media, brand partnerships, events and brand storytelling. You will play a key role in shaping how ghd shows up culturally, driving premium brand perception and delivering measurable business outcomes. Working closely with the Marketing Manager – Social & Content, you will lead the development and execution of integrated influencer, PR and event strategies that strengthen ghd's position as the #1 hair tool brand in Australia. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker and exceptional executor
- someone who understands creator marketing, internet culture, has strong commercial acumen, and has exceptional attention to detail when it comes to premium brand execution. This role will also lead and mentor the Influencer and Events Coordinator and work closely with agencies, creators, media and brand partners to deliver best-in-class activity and experiences. Key activities
- Lead the planning and execution of all PR, influencer and events activity across ANZ, guided by global strategy and direction
- Build and manage relationships with PR agencies in Australia and New Zealand to ensure all activity aligns with brand priorities, commercial objectives, and achieves KPIs
- Drive earned-first storytelling opportunities that position ghd as a category leader within beauty, lifestyle and culture
- Develop and execute a localised influencer strategy aligned to global campaign direction and ANZ commercial priorities
- Lead category and campaign-based influencer activity across paid and ambassador partnerships
- Identify culturally and brand-relevant creators, tastemakers and partnership opportunities that strengthen ghd’s relevance and reach
- Manage influencer negotiations, contracts, budgets and deliverables to ensure strong ROI and commercial impact
- Create clear, strategic and inspiring influencer briefs aligned to category and business objectives
- Partner closely with the Marketing Manager – Social & Content and Social Media Executive to maximise content performance across organic and paid channels
- Lead the Influencer and Events Coordinator in managing contra partnerships, day-to-day creator communications, and events & activations
- Collaborate with the Education Manager to align consumer and professional influencer strategies
- Deliver elevated brand experiences that drive conversation, content, earned media and cultural relevance
- Define and deliver KPIs across PR, influencer and event activity including EMV, reach, content volume, website traffic and conversion What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in PR, influencer marketing, brand partnerships, events or integrated brand marketing
- Proven experience developing and executing successful influencer and PR campaigns for premium consumer brands
- Strong understanding of creator marketing, digital culture and the evolving influencer landscape
- Demonstrated experience managing influencer negotiations, contracts and partnerships
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple category priorities, campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously
- Solid commercial acumen and confidence working with KPIs, reporting and campaign performance metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
- Experience leading events and activations from concept through to execution
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams (social, digital, education) and global teams
- Leadership or people management experience Highly regarded
- Beauty, fashion, luxury or lifestyle industry experience
- Experience working within a global brand environment
- Experience using influencer reporting and analytics platforms Who you are
