Structural Cadet Designer (Brisbane City)

To support our mission, we are currently seeking Cadet/Trainee Designers to join our Structural drafting team in our Brisbane office. We are looking for someone with an interest in Structural design. What does this role involve?


- With support, complete detailed 3D designs from rough sketches utilising the latest Autodesk Plant Design Suites
- Work within budgets and schedules and maintain project files within a paperless digital design office
- Work towards developing multidisciplinary skills and the completion of more complex designs
- Contribute to periodic reporting and regular maintenance of drafting priorities and systems
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management systems
- Develop an understanding of Sedgman standard specifications and current industry standards. What are we looking for in our future team member?


- Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) of Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree in Engineering for non-trade qualified applicants
- Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) Certificate 4 in Engineering for engineering trade qualified applicants
- Previous experience in design / consultancy / operational environment highly regarded
- AutoCAD or Micro Station experience desirable
- Skills in MS Office suite
- Positive mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail What we can offer you:
