Overview At Aurecon, an Australian‑owned design, engineering and advisory company with a proud history of client‑asset management across the full lifecycle, we are seeking a Data Engineer & Asset Management Consultant to join our national Asset Management Advisory team. Responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end project delivery, from analysis to client engagement and measurable outcomes.
- Translate technical data and insights into clear, actionable advice for clients.
- Contribute solutions across asset management strategies, decision‑making, performance improvement, system design and asset condition assessments.
- Collaborate with senior advisors on initiatives spanning operational readiness, reliability engineering, productivity improvement, capital portfolio management and complex multi‑disciplinary projects. Qualifications
- Experience across the software development life cycle, including containerisation, Git and data science languages/notebooks.
- Robust data engineering skills: cleansing, transformation, loading and modelling across SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their storage, database, data lake and analytics services.
- Experience with key data and ML tools such as Spark, Databricks, Python, R, TensorFlow/PyTorch and Jupyter/RStudio.
- Understanding of data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) and agile ways of working.
