Cyber Security & Technical Engineers (Two Roles Available) Are you an experienced IT professional ready to drive critical security uplift in a complex technical environment? We are seeking two talented engineers, a Cyber Security Engineer and a Technical Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering essential infrastructure and security initiatives. These initial 12‑month contract engagements offer an excellent opportunity to manage highly technical deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary ICT teams, and provide expert technical advice to support major cyber resilience frameworks. If you are passionate about hands‑on technical delivery and want to contribute to robust cloud and on‑premise solutions, this could be your next long‑term project. What You Will Do
- Lead hands‑on technical delivery for major infrastructure and security uplift projects, including Essential 8 tasks, operating system patching, and system upgrades across server and desktop environments.
- Autonomously discover and implement Multi‑factor Authentication (MFA) on legacy applications and systems to support Maturity Level 1 compliance.
- Discover, redesign, and reconfigure existing SIEM/Sentinel implementations to optimise for Essential 8 requirements while expanding system logging.
- Prepare comprehensive technical plans, design configurations, architecture procedures, and status reports to support strict ICT governance and change management.
- Coordinate cross‑functional technical teams, prioritise activities, manage risks and issues, and establish solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. What You Need to Apply for This Role
- Demonstrated experience in hands‑on technical delivery within highly complex ICT environments, ensuring outcomes meet committed timeframes.
- Expert knowledge of the Essential 8 and ISO27001 security frameworks, alongside solid documentation skills aligned to organisational policy.
- Proven technical proficiency with Microsoft Security Products (MSP), M365, Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows 11.
- Experience implementing and managing Virtualisation Technologies, Hybrid Cloud/On‑Prem solutions, Multi‑factor Authentication, and SIEM/Logging platforms.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and relationship‑management skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary ICT teams and diverse stakeholders.
