- Support the design, development, test, and maintenance of software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle in accordance with industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
- Assist with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products
- Leveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support the development, documentation and maintenance of architecture, requirements, algorithms, models, interfaces and designs for software products
- Support debugging and resolution of identified issues, to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products
- Support implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development Qualifications
- Skills or domain knowledge in Mission systems, message protocols and data exchange
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Past experience using precise measuring instruments (e.g. Oscilloscopes) in a lab environment
- Past experience working with Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
- Past experience utilizing MATLAB Simulink for complex logic modelling
- Past experience in Software development in Defence software applications, particularly conforming to Defence and Airworthiness Design Standards, is highly desirable
- Past experience debugging Hardware Description Languages (e.g. VHDL) is highly desirable
- Past experience utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as MSOSA, is highly desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics and/or Electrical Engineering. Applicant Requirements Australian Citizens only to meet defence security requirements.
