About The Role As Administration Officer, Research, your role is to provide administrative support and assistance within the Viertel Cancer Research Centre to ensure effective and efficient delivery of its world‑leading cancer research programmes and external grant funding. You will maintain bibliographies, citations and references for senior team members, and support our research funding scheme by collating grant applications, undertaking preliminary assessments, monitoring compliance of administering institutions, and facilitating reporting outcomes for communication to CCQ’s donors and supporters. About You To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Demonstrated ability to provide high‑level administrative support and hands‑on experience with scientific research processes.
- Experience working in a research support environment, either at a university or within a research institute or research centre setting.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite and with information management systems, including databases and Endnote.
- Demonstrated high‑level interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
- Completion of a diploma‑level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training is well regarded but not essential.
- Experience with Grant Management Systems, including NHMRC’s Sapphire, and/or experience with financial accounting systems is also well regarded but not essential.
