Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Network SD‑WAN Architect (Cisco Meraki) to serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor for enterprise customers. This role acts as a technical bridge between customers, architects, and delivery teams , leading large‑scale SD‑WAN, campus, data center, and cloud connectivity transformations . The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on Cisco Meraki SD‑WAN expertise , strong routing and data center fundamentals , exceptional customer communication skills , and the ability to drive architecture decisions, design workshops, and complex migrations in high‑stakes environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer‑facing architecture discussions , technical workshops, and design reviews for SD‑WAN, campus, wireless, and data center networks
- Design and deliver Cisco Meraki SD‑WAN solutions (greenfield & brownfield) including HLDs, LLDs, migration strategies, and runbooks
- Architect and govern SD‑WAN migrations from MPLS to Internet/Hybrid WAN using Meraki MX platforms
- Act as technical authority for large‑scale network transformation programs , migrations, and consolidations
- Define routing architecture including BGP, VRFs, hub‑and‑spoke, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Coordinate with ISPs, carriers, and SD‑WAN providers for circuit delivery, BGP peering, and issue resolution
- Conduct current‑state assessments and define future‑state technology roadmaps
- Lead firmware, IOS/NX‑OS, and Meraki dashboard lifecycle management and upgrade initiatives
- Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams and act as escalation point for critical incidents (P1/P2) Mandatory Technical Skills & Experience
- Expert hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki SD‑WAN
- AutoVPN, BGP, traffic shaping, SD‑WAN security policies
- Robust BGP and Multi‑VRF routing design and troubleshooting experience
- Proven experience with ISP/MPLS coexistence and SD‑WAN migrations Data Center & Switching (Mandatory)
- OTV design and operations
- Advanced experience with L2/L3 DC migrations and interconnects
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/7K (vPC, multi‑VDC preferred) Wireless & Campus (Mandatory)
- Cisco Wireless – Catalyst 9800 WLC (design, migration, operations)
- Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches – working/operational knowledge Cloud & Security (Mandatory – Basic to Working Knowledge)
- VNETs, UDRs, VPN/ExpressRoute concepts
- Cisco ISE – basic understanding (802.1X, profiling, policy concepts)
- Palo Alto Firewalls – basic understanding Additional Core Skills
- Network capacity planning, traffic analysis, and optimization recommendations
- Firmware and vulnerability lifecycle management across large Cisco estates
- Advanced QoS design and troubleshooting (policy‑maps, shaping, policing)
- End‑to‑end site, campus, and data center migration leadership
- Monitoring & visibility tools exposure (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, DNAC – desirable)
- Strong experience creating customer‑ready HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, IP plans, and BoMs Soft Skills & Professional Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Proven ability to present to senior customer stakeholders and executives
- Strong stakeholder management and articulation skills
- Ability to lead complex architectural discussions independently
- Calm, structured approach to critical incidents and high‑pressure environments
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail Education & Certifications Mandatory
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure / Routing & Switching / Data Center
- Cisco Meraki certifications
