Job Title: Manager, Library Service.
- Remuneration: $172,761 to $193,229 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $145,985 to $163,281 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
- Term: Ongoing, full-time basis

The QUT Library plays a vital role in supporting the learning, teaching and research needs of the QUT community and the strategic priorities of the University. The Library works in partnership with the University community to provide outstanding information resources, learning environments, tailored services and programs for students and researchers. We have three vibrant and welcoming branch libraries (the Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and Law libraries) where students come to meet, read, study and learn. The Manager, Library Service plans, leads and manages the resources, spaces and services of the QUT Library to provide high‑quality services and facilities which support the University’s teaching, research and service goals. The role provides leadership in relation to service provision ensuring planning, development, problem solving and evaluation on an ongoing basis. As a member of the QUT Library’s Leadership Team, the Manager contributes to the strategic planning and operational governance of the Library and leads and manages change associated with delivery of service, including external collaboration, staff training and development, and effective and efficient management of Library resources. What You Need To Succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in Library and Information Studies, in conjunction with extensive relevant experience leading and managing the operations and delivery of Library Services in a complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in leading library user‑informed service activities, including using data to drive improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills and experience, in particular high level change management and coaching skills, and the ability to lead a skilled team in a culture that supports innovation and inclusivity.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain constructive partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience in delivering high‑quality documents, submissions and presentations and confidently providing advice and direction to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated high level planning and organisational skills in a large and complex operational unit.
