Due to continued growth, Promech is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer with solid leadership capability to further strengthen their team. About the Role Reporting directly to the Company Director, you will lead mechanical design activities for tanks, vessels, piping systems, and mechanical equipment. You will guide engineers, oversee drafting deliverables, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, buildable solutions from concept through to detailed design. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver mechanical design for tanks, vessels, piping, and equipment
- Oversee design drafting and ensure deliverables meet IFC quality standards
- Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, and specifications
- Mentor, develop, and provide technical guidance to engineers
- Contribute to project planning, scoping, and scheduling
- Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and construction teams About You
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and RPEQ or CPEng
- Extensive experience delivering mechanical designs across Oil & Gas, petrochemical, minerals, or water sectors
- Strong capability in pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and rotating/static equipment
- Solid working knowledge of applicable codes
- including API 650, ASME VIII, AS 1210, AS 4041, ASME B31.3
- Experience using engineering software such as Caesar II, AutoPIPE, or NozzlePro
