About the role As the Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing quality, prices and ensuring economic order levels (EOQ). You will buy products essential for day-to-day business operations. Your responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts according to the delegation of authority, and preparing reports (orders and costs). You will need to have a knowledge and the ability to market research and have solid analytical skills to make sure you are identifying the most profitable offers. Responsibilities
- Supplier onboarding
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Supplier KPI monitoring
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Create, expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review ensure quality of purchased products does not change and liaise with engineering for confirmation and support
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Work with suppliers on lead time reductions and risk management of the products purchased Knowledge & Experience Required
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
- Valuable knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
- Hands‑on experience with ERP
