Short Description We are seeking highly skilled hands‑on Automation Lead Engineer that Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Playwright‑based automation frameworks. Location Brisbane, Australia Salary Range AUD $108,571,232
- $119,893 Annual Gross. Note: The above salary range is only indicative and may be subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes. Roles and Responsibilities Academics and Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 9 years of experience with Information Technology Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline Job Description We are seeking highly skilled hands‑on Automation Engineer role experience to collaborate with Design, development, and maintenance of Playwright‑based automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Playwright‑based automation frameworks
- Define and implement automation strategy, including adoption of AI‑driven testing accelerators
- Develop and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Leverage AI/ML concepts to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and defect prediction
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Ensure automation code quality through reviews, refactoring, and best practices
- Collaborate with development, product, and business stakeholders to ensure risk‑based test coverage
- Track and report automation metrics, trends, and quality insights
- Mentor automation engineers and guide the team on modern automation and AI‑assisted testing practices Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of overall testing experience with 6+ years in test automation
- Solid understanding of test framework design, automation patterns, and best practices
- Familiarity with AI‑enhanced testing concepts
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) pipelines
- Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in Git/version control
- Prior experience leading or mentoring automation teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead technically and drive automation and AI adoption Additional
