About the role The Platform Solutions Architect is responsible for the design of end-to-end server & storage platform technology solutions to support the achievement of the BAC business goals. Key deliverables associated with this role include the development and implementation of Solution Integration artefacts within projects, technical leadership and guidance to project teams and where appropriate Conceptual, Logical and Physical designs relevant to the BAC environment. Responsibilities
- Design end to end platform solutions (including server, storage, cloud, and containerised infrastructure) to meet business requirements within the framework of BAC's Enterprise Architecture, incorporating modern platforms including Azure IaaS and Kubernetes-based workloads.
- Develop Conceptual, Logical, and Physical designs across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, including Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, and Kubernetes cluster architecture (AKS).
- Configure and deploy VMware, compute, and storage components in lab and pre-production environments to validate designs prior to production rollout. Qualifications You will ideally be tertiary qualified and have significant experience in project management and/or ICT management within complex enterprise environments, including several years of solutions or enterprise architecture experience. Your toolbox should include:
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
- Exposure to ITIL methodologies
