We're partnered with a growing manufacturing organisation in Brisbane delivering a highly innovative UAS programme. As part of this, they are now seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer (Structures / Design) to support the development of a clean-sheet aircraft within a rapid-paced, build-focused workplace. Responsibilities
- Structural design and analysis of airframe components
- Supporting airframe development, including fuselage, wing, and structural assemblies
- Working across materials, stress considerations, and real-world build constraints
- Contributing to design reviews and validation activities
- Supporting integration with electrical, propulsion and control systems
- Iterating designs through prototyping, testing and flight readiness You will work closely with senior engineering leadership within a small, high-performing team, contributing directly to programme delivery. Experience required
- Strong background in aerospace structures and design
- Experience within UAV, VTOL, RPAS, or advanced aerospace systems
- Solid understanding of stress analysis, materials and structural performance
- Experience working across design, analysis and real-world build environments
- Hands‑on mindset – able to contribute across design, build and iteration
- Proactive, delivery‑focused approach suited to a quick‑moving programme Beneficial experience
- Exposure to aerodynamics and flight performance considerations
