With headquarters in the United States, the company has recently expanded into Australia and is building a dedicated engineering team to support its growth there. Engineering Manager – Software (Australia) As the first software engineering manager in Australia, you will lead the technical strategy and operational integration of our Resolv platform within the local market. Your role combines hands‑on development, team building, and cross‑regional collaboration. What You’ll Do
- Strategic Integration: Drive end‑to‑end integration of the Resolv technology platform with Australian‑based technology and operational workflows.
- Business Growth Catalyst: Partner with leadership to identify how technology can unlock new revenue streams and scale the Australian business efficiently.
- Hands‑On Development: Serve as the first software engineer in Australia, performing development work for at least the first year while building a small local team.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate complex technical roadmaps into clear, actionable business value for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between US engineering teams and Australian business objectives.
- Software Internationalization: Lead efforts to adapt and scale our software for international markets, addressing localization, regulatory requirements, and region‑specific technical challenges.
- Autonomous Leadership: Operate independently, managing technical projects and local priorities while staying deeply connected to the global engineering organization.

- Strategic Technologist: A proven track record of using technology to create measurable business value.
- Expert Communicator: Able to explain the why behind technical decisions to non‑technical partners and influence global stakeholders across time zones.
- International Navigator: Understands the nuances of internationalizing software, including data standards and user experience localization.
- Self‑Starter: Comfortable making high‑stakes decisions independently while maintaining global alignment.

- 10+ years in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity within a fast‑paced, tech‑enabled service environment.
- Strong background in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Preferred experience with our tech stack: AWS, Kotlin or Java, TypeScript, REST services, asynchronous messaging, SQL, Python, DataBricks, AirTable.
- Global mindset: Experience working with distributed teams or scaling US‑based products into international markets, especially Australia.
- Industry knowledge in renewable energy, IoT, or asset management is a plus but not required.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $148,000 – $222,000 per year (midpoint $185,000).
