Platforms Engineer (Brisbane) (Brisbane City)

Client A Government Owned Corporation in Queensland. Contract Until 16/10/2026 (initial) with strong likelihood of extension. Pay Rate $900 a day + super. Location Fortitude Valley, Brisbane with WFH flexibility. Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Platforms Engineer to join a dynamic digital team dedicated to delivering resilient and cutting‑edge platform services. - Azure, M365, Power Platform, Certificates, AD, and IaC via GitHub and Azure DevOps. Key Duties
- Provision, deploy, and optimise technology infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud‑based environments using automation tools and scripting.
- Monitor system performance and security metrics to investigate and resolve operational issues while ensuring adherence to security policies.
- Manage the lifecycle of changes and problems, identifying remedies and collaborating with teams to implement preventative measures.
- Plan and coordinate release activities across multiple stakeholders, ensuring deliverables meet defined quality and security standards.
- Enable data availability and integrity through formal governance processes, master data management, and metadata structures. Qualifications
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aligned technology areas (or 7 years if no degree is held).
- Advanced technical expertise in systems integration, build activities, and configuration management.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CCNA, MSCE, or PRINCE2.
- Experience with Azure, M365, Power Platform, Certificates, AD and IaC.
