Procurement & Contracts Advisor (Brisbane City)

The Chance Troocoo is proud to partner with a leading Tier 1 mining organisation to recruit a Contracts Advisor to join their team for an initial 12‑month contract supporting a significant project. This role is based in Brisbane CBD and requires occasional site visits, typically quarterly. The Contracts Advisor focuses on the project's study phase, offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative team. Key responsibilities include
- Manage pre‑award and post‑award contract activities, with a strong emphasis on the pre‑award phase.
- Draft tenders and contracts for professional services, including engineering and technical consulting.
- Handle multiple contracts concurrently, managing up to a dozen at any time with values ranging from several hundred thousand to several million dollars.
- Support feasibility and pre‑feasibility studies, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement remotely.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support stakeholders through project fluctuations, particularly in a closure or rehabilitation context. Skills and experience
- Demonstrated contract execution and management experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, or complex project environments.
- Strong capability in both pre and post‑award processes, including tendering and commercial documentation.
- Solid understanding of professional services contracts, particularly in engineering and technical consultancy.
- Experience managing feasibility and pre‑feasibility study contracts is highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly in remote or multi‑location settings.
- Comfortable in a hands‑on role with no direct reports, willing to tackle ambiguity and changing project requirements.
