Senior Controls Engineer (Brisbane City)

In this senior role, you’ll work with Tier 1 clients while being supported by a talented, multidisciplinary team. You’ll lead engineering and design initiatives, oversee control system upgrades, and play a pivotal role in future commissioning projects. Success in this role requires solid, hands‑on experience with Rockwell PLCs, coupled with a passion for delivering cutting-edge yet practical solutions. - Develop and deliver tailored control system solutions for mineral processing projects.
- Mentor and support junior team members in technical and qualified growth.
- Program and configure PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to meet client needs.
- Conduct commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure system performance.
- Design and create electrical schematics and technical documentation for deliverables.
- Support maintenance and optimisation of control systems.
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams for smooth project delivery. Who are you?
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of control system network design and configuration.
- Proven control systems experience – typically 3+ years working on industrial projects.
- Hands‑on experience programming and commissioning PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens) and SCADA systems (e.g., Citect SCADA or FactoryTalk View).
- Strong knowledge in designing and configuring control system networks.
