Senior Electrical Engineer (Buildings)
- CG) Location : Australia‑Queensland‑South Brisbane Description About the role We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our friendly and supportive Brisbane Buildings Team on a full‑time basis. You will be a part of our multi‑disciplinary team working across various building projects. The successful candidate will be able to apply their technical skills and demonstrate commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time. You will be expected to service projects including those of relatively large size, of high complexity and with multiple clients. Stantec are involved in a vast variety of project types including data centres, health, defence, high‑rise, industrial, education etc. The successful candidate will be working in a strong team setting and will need to manage several projects at any one time. You will be self‑motivated, resourceful and a great communicator. The role will enable the successful candidate to develop in a qualified and personal sense and to forge a challenging and rewarding career path in a successful global consultancy. You can choose to focus on either technical project delivery or business development, or even excel in both areas, based on your strengths and interests. Day to day tasks would involve
- Planning and managing projects from initial master planning, concept and brief, through to installation and commissioning.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge, providing oversight and supervision to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support and offer guidance to Engineers and Graduates to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.
- Represent Stantec externally to Clients, playing a senior and active role in managing these relationships.
- Provide Electrical designs for a range of building projects, including reports, studies, design calculations, mark‑ups, drawings and specifications.
- Prepare presentations and present to external clients.
- Liaise with authorities and contractors. To be successful for this role you'll need
- Have a bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering and ideally hold RPEQ.
- Have around 7 years experience working in a Consulting workplace within the Building services industry in Queensland.
- Ideally be confident in business development or willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
